Mark the mounting location

If your domicile has double-hung or sliding windows, measure down 1 inch from the underside of the windowsill directly below one side of the window frame and make a pencil marker to locate the elevation of the bracket.

Drill a pilot hole and counterbore into the subclass near the bottom of the siding as in Pace 2.
